Literary tourism and the reaffirmation of sociocultural identity in the Colombo-Venezuelan frontier.

Abstract

Regional literature can integrate social tourism, human geography and cultural history to reaffirm the importance of spaces created or recreated by the authors of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries through their works and invites visitors and travelers to recreate or experiencing territories , environments or landscapes that give identity to a region from the reading of the emblematic works on the customs, traditions and problems of human groups as those sitting in the known Colombian-Venezuelan border as "santanderians". Following innovations in literary tourism the results of discourse analysis of two hundred literary works that recreated the spaces associated with imaginary like "Santandereanidad" are presented and laid the foundations of a associable literary tradition with the "santanderian literature" that sustains cultural tourist routes of historical, heritage, gastronomic, musical character, etc. The paper also presents the impacts of research projects in literary tourism and economic literature, funded by the Industrial University of Santander and the Autonomous University of Bucaramanga, from members of the hotbeds of research in alternative tourism (Setas - Uis) and Literature of Nation State (Silencio - Unab). Being showed a proposed route in cultural tourism - literary complementing tourist routes landscape, gastronomy and adventure sports associated with the Chicamocha Canyon and the National Park Chicamocha and the realization of the National Colloquium on Alternative Tourism and Cultural heritage and the National Meeting of Tourism and heritage Seed.
